The objectives of the Environmental Earth Sciences Division of the Geological Association of Canada are threefold:
Firstly, the aim is to advance the study of Environmental Earth Sciences in Canada. Environmental Earth Sciences includes all aspects involved in the interrelationship between the Earth and the atmosphere and hydrosphere.
Secondly, the Division’s goal is to stimulate the application of Environmental Earth Sciences to the evaluation of the environmental effects of human activities and to the management and/or solution of environmental problems.
Thirdly, the aim is to promote the exchange and diffusion of ideas and information pertaining to Earth Sciences and relevant to the understanding, protection and/or management of the environment
